| Description | The Production department is responsible for the daily Production from the Offshore Al-Shaheen Maersk Oil Qatar installations. The open position is within the production group as part of the onshore Production Engineer team. The Production group is responsible for daily prioritising of production and utility systems and oil and gas export. The Production Engineer team ensures that the technical, economical, environmental and safety aspects of all matters within the area of responsibility are assessed in a businesslike manner prior to making decisions and recommendations. The Production Engineer team ensures that all activities follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality as well as applicable Qatari laws, rules and regulations. A part of the job is also to interact with other departments onshore in order to ensure efficient production planning, project planning and scheduling of engineering work offshore. Nature and Scope: The Production Engineer reports to the Head of Production. This position is based in Maersk Oil Qatar A/S office in Doha, Qatar and requires relocation. Family status and standard expat benefits are offered. Principal Accountabilities: Key responsibilities of the position include: • Day to day operational, technical and process support to offshore activities • Coordination between offshore and other departments • Proactive Production planning • Improvement of safety and environmental integrity of the offshore installations • Project commenting and participation in start up of new facilities under Field Development Plan 2005 • Identifying and defining scope for removal of bottlenecks in the process • Ensure timely preparation of all documentation; obtaining approval as applicable and submission to meet obligations to authorities/partners • 10 to 15 offshore days per year to be expected | ||
| Skills | Education & Experience: The successful candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Process Engineer or Marine Engineer, from a recognised institution. Relevant experience is an asset, however, this position may be offered as a learning position if the right candidate is found. Excellent verbal and written English skills are imperative in this position. | ||
