| Description | Maersk Oil is seeking a Surveyor to strengthen the Survey Group within the Structures and Pipelines department onshore in Esbjerg and to assist with a wide variety of survey related tasks in connection with offshore engineering and drilling operations. The new employee will enter into a dedicated and experienced team of surveyors and is expected to contribute with a professional expertise in order to secure safe and efficient survey and positioning operations within the Danish Sector The surveyor will report to the Head of Survey and will take part in the following main activities: • Survey technical support and co-operation with Engineering and Drilling departments on survey and positioning related issues. • Preparation of survey and positioning specifications in connection with a wide variety of engineering projects. • QA/QC function for survey and positioning related data acquisition and data management. • Maintenance and further development of in-house expertise within the area of Geomatics, e.g. GIS, GPS, Subsea technology, 3D Laser, through conferences, seminars and courses. • Maintain and develop Company field charts and underlying databases, e.g. GIS. • Liaise with survey service supply companies. • Regular supervision of survey and positioning operations offshore. | ||
| Skills | The successful candidate must as a minimum requirement have a MSc or BSc degree in Hydrographic Survey, Land Survey or Geomatics and should be fluent in the spoken and written English language. Onshore and/or offshore experience with similar type of work, including CAD/GIS applications, is considered an advantage. | ||
