Business Development Manager

An International Oil and Gas Services Provider is on the look out for a Business Development Manager.

Purpose: Coordinate, organize and supervise all marketing activities for successfully creating and exploiting new ESP business opportunities in the and North African regions.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement appropriate marketing strategies for individual customers and markets in liaison with senior and operations management staff.
• Manage tendering process, including customer sales calls, pre-bid meetings, bid tactics, equipment design & selection, use of third party products, contract review, commercial tender modeling and bid submission.
• Collect, disseminate and output marketing and performance data in region.  Maintain database of company experience and regional competitive intelligence information.
• Manage client request for quotations, including development of solutions to technical issues, involving liaison with customer technical personnel, in-house engineering & operations departments and third party vendors.
• Manage new business start-ups until they are taken over by operations.

Qualifications             

• BSc Degree in Petroleum / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years petroleum industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Well defined and honed sales presentation & negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• The ability to organize and motivate others.
• Able to travel within the Middle East and as required.

 Desirable

• ESP product knowledge and applications engineering courses with design & equipment selection experience.
• Electrical engineering background and knowledge.
• Experience working in the Middle East and/or North Africa .
