| Description | Our client is one of the largest companies in the Republic of Azerbaijan and is engaged in a wide range of business interests. They are currently involved in a large number of flagship construction projects in Azerbaijan. Its Construction and Development operation is hugely dynamic; having grown to over 400 people and secured ongoing projects in excess of 8.5 million square feet in its first year of trading (2007). These include the $350 million mixed use redevelopment of Port Baku. All of the projects are on land own by the Group, with the majority being self financed. The Role: To be the focal point of all construction related activities and set and implement project activity to deliver projects on time, on budget and on specification. The projects under execution include numerous major state of the art buildings and infrastructure projects in Baku. The Person: Successful candidates will need to be highly motivated individuals with the technical, communication and organisational skills to deal with a demanding, complex and diverse workload. They will need to have good understanding and proven expertise in at least one of the following types of projects: • Mixed use multi-storey building projects. • Commercial, Retail or Residential land development projects and associated civil engineering works. | ||
| Skills | The applicant should have following skill sets: • The ability to develop design, procurement and construction strategy. • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in retail, residential and commercial projects. • A track record of delivery in CIS, Central Asia or Eastern Europe. • Strong leadership ability and natural flair. • Proven negotiation skills. • Stable background of progression, moving through the ranks of a well established International contractor. • English mother tongue, ideally with understanding of basic Russian or Turkish. • Degree in Engineering from an internationally recognized university. | ||
