The international Energy and Climate Strategy group of Ecofys provides analysis and strategic advice in the areas of energy and climate technologies, policies and markets. The group has a multidisciplinary staff of 100 people operating in small project teams for multiple clients including local, regional and (inter)national governments, the European Commission, multilateral organisations (UNFCCC, IEA) as well as corporate clients and NGOs.

Ecofys is currently looking for a: SENIOR CONSULTANT ENERGY AND CLIMATE STRATEGIES

Key responsibilities will include:
 Acquiring, managing and running projects in the area of technology, policies and markets concerning energy and climate issues
 Representing company outside and strengthening its market position by presenting and implementing solutions fulfilling customers’ needs
 Evaluation and design of renewable energy and climate policies (incl. the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and CDM/JI)
 Assessment of energy conservation and emission reduction potentials and costs (including benchmarking of energy efficiency)
 Assessment of market opportunities for renewable energy, energy conservation and emission reduction technologies and projects and/or future climate commitments
 Identification and evaluation of practical requirements and impacts of new policy frameworks or policy instruments on society, economy and environment and assisting them in developing new approaches
 Co-operation with the group manager and other colleagues from the international Energy and Climate Strategies group
SkillsWe require:
 University degree in science, engineering, environmental or equivalent subject
 Several years of professional experience in consulting services concerning renewable energy or climate
 Knowledge of the energy and climate policy framework
 Good oral and written command of English
 Strong commercial attitude and entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place
 Analytical, conceptual and innovative thinking skills
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Willingness to travel
