| Description | POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Mechanical degreed incumbents will perform or monitor the advanced level complex inspection activities and/or provides technical guidance in audits for compliance to requirements, in one or more of the following disciplines: Vendor Quality Control, Vendor Quality Assessor, or Vendor Quality Monitor. In addition, the incumbent may receive specialized training in advanced inspection techniques and /or processes in other fields in order to meet critical needs of the Department. Typical work responsibility involves either performing or overseeing the performance of on-site inspections, monitoring vendors' inspection, factory performance tests recording, and/or reviewing the results of tests, auditing activities and quality systems at manufacturers' plants and ensuring compliance to requirements. In addition, incumbent will train lesser qualified inspection personnel and may be required to present training session to groups of personnel in his organization. | ||
| Skills | SELECTION CRITERIA: Minimum of 10 years experience of inspecting coating. BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical discipline. CSWIP 3.2 or AWS certified inspector. ASNT level II in all NDT methods (MT, PT, UT and RT) Certified as NACE III international Coating Inspector or British Gas 1 | ||
