Overview of Position:

The Takula Asset reservoirs produce 140,000 BOPD from 14 fields and formations with a wide range of depositional environments and lithologies. They are being produced through both primary depletion and waterflood. Asset teams in Houston support counterparts in Luanda and Malongo, Angola in model building and probabilistic simulation, development planning, well work, business planning and reserves booking. This position is responsible for model building, model maintenance and development planning for six of the reservoirs. Several wells/year will be drilled, and the new data will need to be integrated into the current models, and development plans optimized. Also, one new depo-facies based model is planned to be built in 2009 based on well results obtained in 2008.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• This position is responsible for model building, model maintenance and development planning for six of the reservoirs. Several wells/year will be drilled, and the new data will need to be integrated into the current models, and development plans optimized. Also, one new depo-facies based model is planned to be built in 2009 based on well results obtained in 2008.
• This position will involve some travel to Luanda and Malongo, Angola to interact with the Asset Team members, Operations and Association Partners.
SkillsRequired Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:

• Earth Science Background - Fundamental earth science skill set; sequence stratigraphy, well log correlation; volumetric calculations, etc. Some seismic mapping occasionally required. Familiarity with Landmark applications (Zmap, Stratworks, Seisworks, etc.).
• Reservoir Modeling Experience - grid building, geostatistical property population, MPS, scale-up, workflow management.
• Demonstrated willingness and aptitude to train and mentor others - strong commitment to transfer of knowledge and skills to all employees and government participant/trainees.
• Must be capable of integrating work with all disciplines and contributing to team dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to work in diverse and dispersed teamwork structures.

• Ability to communicates consistently and effectively within and outside own department.
