Overview of Position: This position is with the Chevron Energy Technology group located in Chevron's downtown Houston office. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Providing quality control on log data. • Providing interpretation and development of workflows to integrate formation evaluation and properties from seismic products. | ||
| Skills | Required Qualifications: In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have: • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or directly related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience. • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a petrophysical role. • Experience with a wide range of petrophysical techniques and data types. • The ability to work with application developers providing technical guidance with the goal of developing analysis tools and workflows. • Experience recommending logging programs to solve complex reservoir characterization problems. • Experience with the integration of core and wireline data sets. • Familiarity with probabilistic techniques such as ELAN or Multimin. • Experience with normalization methodology and the management and evaluation of large multi-well projects. • Experience with integration of log and seismic data, including well ties, fluid substitution and generation of mechanical properties. • Good communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate: • Master’s degree in geology or directly related discipline. • Familiarity with exploration and development geology work processes. • Significant applied geological experience. • Understanding of petrophysical concepts, acquisition and operation methods. | ||
