Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Development Geologist - Asset Development, located Houston, Texas, USA. Overview: The Mid Continent Business Unit’s Red River East Texas (RRET) Team, manages Chevron’s assets in the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, and East Texas. The team is responsible for managing daily gas production and oil production. Gas is produced, primarily, from tight gas sands and unconventional reservoirs. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for generating models for groups of these assets with an eye towards putting together new drill and workover opportunities. • Responsible for mentoring new Horizons Earth Scientists. • Formation evaluation and planning for and managing reservoir surveillance programs or new well, sidetrack and workover planning. | ||
| Skills | Required Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Geology or Geophysics. • Familiarity with development geology work processes. • Ability to integrate seismic, well, and production data to evaluate reservoirs. • Demonstrated reservoir management skills such as reservoir mapping, modeling and characterization. • Ability to formally mentor one or two new Earth Scientists within the team. • Proven ability to work with in a cross-functional team to perform detailed subsurface assessments, reservoir management plans, and development proposals. • Working knowledge of interpretation, modeling and other software depending on assignment, or, able to rapidly learn and develop high level of proficiency in critical areas. | ||
