Chevron Energy Technology Company is accepting online applications for the position of Calcareous Nannofossil Biostratigrapher located in Houston, Texas.

Overview:

Chevron Energy Technology Company is seeking a petroleum industry experienced Calcareous Nannofossil Biostratigrapher.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Integrate data from other biostratigraphic sub-disciplines (foraminifers & palynology) with own and contractor generated calcareous nannofossil data sets.
SkillsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Geology, with a specialization in calcareous nannoplankton biostratigraphy.
• Petroleum industry experience in the application of nannofossil taxonomy, biogeography and biostratigraphy.
• Microscope ability/familiarity with both Cenozoic and Mesozoic floras.
• Offshore well-site biostrat experience.
• Knowledgeable in calcareous nannofossil taxonomy, biogeography, and biostratigraphy, and it’s operational and research applications in petroleum exploration, reservoir characterization, development and production.
• Strong computer skills using StrataBugs, ODM, StratWorks, and OpenWorks.
• International, as well as Gulf of Mexico, biostratigraphic experience.
• Well-site biostrat expertise is expected, along with a willingness to accept work assignments as need arises world-wide.
• Strong project management skills, both within own specialty, and across the various Biostratigraphy Team activities.
• The willingness and physical stamina to work on offshore exploration drill platforms.
