Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the position of Geologist Advisor, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Overview: The Geologist Advisor is expected to leverage his or her significant experiences in geothermal earth science sub-disciplines areas (Geochemistry, Geophysics and Geology). The Geologist Advisor leads multi-disciplinary teams to integrate conceptual models based on discipline frameworks and other data. He or she uses the conceptual models to plan and help in executing high-value geoscience projects, such as make-up drilling strategies, prospect ranking and exploration drilling strategies, as well as putting together the field development plans. He or she is recognized on a professional basis as an expert in geothermal, and able to coach and mentor the less experience geoscientists within the organization. Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to carry out complex geothermal projects, including initial exploration, initial development and brown field management. • Coach and mentor less experience geoscientists in aspects of geothermal exploration and development. • Act as technical expert for management and functional advisor on various teams or projects. • Assist supervisors with defining technical and behavioral standards. • Define overall drilling or steam supply strategies and schedule, identification, evaluation and selection of resource exploration and development plans, as well as development or revision of resource conceptual models. • Offer independent ideas and support them with sound technical arguments. | ||
| Skills | Required (Basic) Qualifications: • A Master’s Degree in Geology, Volcanology, Geophysics or Chemistry. • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams to carry out complex geothermal projects. • The ability to coach and mentor less experienced geoscientists. | ||
