| Description | Position Summary: BG is a fast growing organisation with Projects and Operations in over 20 countries. To support our existing activities and future projects around the world we require Engineering Managers with experience of managing teams of engineers and engineering processes, consultants and engineering contractors in a project environment or engineering support teams in an operations environment. Key Accountabilities: Various depending on role but may include: - Development and approval of Basis of Design, design philosophies, specifications, for E&P facilities, pipelines or LNG import/export facilities. - Establishing processes for the management of engineering design, including QA, HSSE, change control, concession requests. - Managing interfaces with technical stakeholders, particularly operations. - Building teams to manage the execution of engineering design, procurement, commissioning or operations activities. - Integrating the activities of technical teams and contractors. - Managing the activity of specialist contractors/ consultants. - Ensuring that lessons learned from BG and Third Party projects and operations are incorporated into the engineering activites. | ||
| Skills | Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes: Technical professional with broad exposure to E&P/LNG business. Familiar with the application of control processes and assurance systems to engineering design and implementation activities. Familiar with international and industry codes, standards and guidelines for facilities design. Experience of managing a range of engineering activities, including greenfield and brownfield activity, complex facilities or challenging environments. Demonstrable commitment to highest standards of Health and Safety within the engineering process and activities. Experience of facilities construction and fabrication techniques. Experience in an Operator environment or for Client. Chartered engineer or equivalent. Good team player, but able to act independently where required. Good interpersonal skills, communication and an ability to influence and challenge. Good working knowledge of English. | ||
