| Description | A dynamic and growing independent operating company in Europe is looking for a Senior Production Technologist to strengthen their team. The candidate will be the assigned Production Technologist for specific fields and business development opportunities. As such, he/she will be the responsible person for all production technologist aspects on specific fields, in the small project team assigned to the screening and evaluation of fields and subsequent preparation and implementation of incremental production projects. This involves: • Conduct technical/engineering studies using computer software applications to quantify the potential well problems and to design innovative proposals to rectify the problems with the objective of maximizing well productivity. • Monitor and troubleshoot producing operations and well integrity. • Propose cost effective solutions to rectify the problems and ensure best working practices (state of the art) techniques are applied. • Design, implement and quality control well completion and stimulation programs. • Provide (onsite) technical support for operations including completions, workovers, hydraulic fracturing and matrix stimulation, coiled tubing, perforating and sand control equipment. • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, provide technical advice and guidance • Quality Control data to ensure that data prior to being used for evaluation. • Construct, maintain and update well models. • Continuous enhancement of Delta’s production technology engineering practices, techniques and applications and identifying opportunities for improvement. • Represent the Company at meetings with Joint Venture Partners and host-government body to justify the data, interpretation techniques and results obtained. • Undertake data analysis and interpretations, on wells and fields, in order to provide information for economic evaluation for potential acquisition efforts. • Depending on the candidate’s skills, he/she may be assigned as project leader for the subsurface part of the field evaluation process or field development plans, for specific fields. | ||
| Skills | The ideal candidate will have: Minimum BSc, preferably MSc degree in petroleum engineering, or related degree. Experience in the below mentioned fields required: • In-depth knowledge of production technology • In the order of 15+ years of industry experience • Business acumen • Mature assets • Secondary and Enhanced Oil recovery methods • Worldwide experience base • Artificial Lift Design and Optimization • Data room exercises, Field evaluations • Field development planning • Operating company experience • Ability to operate relevant software such as PROSPER, OFM, NetTool, Saphire • Good skills in English, spoken and written. Additional foreign language skills are a plus Experience in carbonate, heavy oil or fractured reservoirs is desirable. | ||
