DescriptionPosition Description:
PRIMARY DAY TO DAY DUTIES:
Candidate must have the following qualifications:
Incumbent must have extensive hands on experience in Reservoir Simulation techniques and the practical aspects of reservoir management.
Familiarity with ECLIPSE and CHEARS is preferred.
Must have a good background of reservoir geology and surface facilities simulation.
Candidate's experience in reservoir simulation must cover the areas of model construction, history match, calibration and prediction.
Incumbent must have the ability and desire to train Saudi engineers.
Incumbent must relate well to fellow employees, with different cultural backgrounds and nationalities. Incumbent must have the necessary leadership skills to form and lead technical teams.
Skills Selection Criteria:
Minimum years experience required: 8-10.
Minimum required Degree: B.S.
Major: Petroleum Engineering
Specific experience must include:
Demonstrated experience in reservoir simulation programs, ECLIPSE and CHEARS preferably.

RESERVOIR DESCRIPTION & SIMULATION DEPARTMENT BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Provide formation evaluation services (interpretation, witnessing jobs, petro-physical analysis and logging programs) to the E&P organization.
Serve as custodian of all Saudi Aramco well logs and log data.
Serve as proponent for all company logging contracts and monitor logging contractor performance.
Coordinate efforts to test and deploy new formation evaluation tools and technologies.
Serve as custodian of Petroleum Engineering & Producing corporate database.
Issue the Annual Oil Field Technical Report.
Coordinate the preparation of Saudi Aramco's oil and gas availability on a monthly basis.
Coordinate well testing activities (design/witness exploratory and special development wells).
Undertake reservoir-modeling studies for all major reservoir/fields to optimize the development/production strategies of the company's hydrocarbon assets.
Estimate reserves and OOIP (original oil in place) for major fields.
