DescriptionMain Job Function:
• The role of the drilling superintendent is to provide mid-level management support to drilling manager and rig supervisor for ongoing drilling operations. The goal of the Drilling Superintendent is to ensure efficiency, safety and cost control in all rig site activity.

Key Responsibility Areas:
• Reviewing the daily drilling reports from assigned rigs, and provide advice and assistance concerning rig operations, as required.
• Advising drilling engineers on well plan preparation according to field experience in the area.
• Assisting the Drilling Manager in organising schedules for rig assignment, time off, and training for rig supervisors.
• Reviewing required regulatory compliance measures, and ensuring that company and contractor personnel at the rig are observing requirements.
• Providing onsite inspection and support as required.
• Inspecting proposed drilling rigs and equipment for compliance with specifications.
SkillsCandidate Specifications:
• Engineering degree
• Fluent in English
• MS Word and Excel
• Experience in the position of Drilling Superintendent managing more than one rig at a time
• Technical courses
• Automatic rotary directional drilling
• Knowledge of exploratory remote land areas drilling
