| Description | An Oilfield Services Company is Egypt is looking for a General Manager/ Director. It is a fast growing company in the Oilfield Services expected to turn around $1.5 million in gross revenue and the expectations for this company is to reach double the turnover within a period of 2-3 years. The company has about 60 employees and expanding fast. The company has an excellent reputation. Job Summary: As General Manager/ Director you are responsible for the preparation and execution of business plans designed to maximize profits by utilizing available talent within the company. Oversee and control day to day operations of the business and operating functions. You have total responsibility for profitability and losses. Your capacity covers both domestic and international operations. You will be directly reporting to the CEO. Key Responsibilities: - Generally Manager/ Director and coordinate operations to meet the objective of the corporate strategic plan and corporate operating plan. - Direct the financial progress of the assigned area in comparison to the benchmarks set forth in business plans and budgets. -Alter functions in anticipation of changes in the industry in order to maintain profitability. -Review and approve adequate plans for control of planned outputs, budget spending, effectiveness, and customer services. -Critique performance against operating plans and standards. -Develop specific short and long-term plans, goals, and programs. -With assistance from HR: recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. -Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. -Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies. -Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. -Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by corporate management within the physical constraints of the job. | ||
| Skills | - 12-15 years or more experience in the oil and gas service industry. -Previous work experience in Egypt would have an advantage. - Currently based or working in Egypt would be an advantage (although preferred but not desired) . | ||
