| Description | In order to satisfy an exisitng contract, we currently require an Internal Corrosion Specialist to work with one of our clients in Libya. Job Description: Trained Oilfield Chemist with responsibilities for the following: • Routine operation and monitoring of all chemical treatments in the Production and Gas Plant areas including Demulsifiers, Corrosion Inhibitor, Biocide injection and Scale Inhibitor Squeeze programs. • Liaising with Operations, interpretation of results, preparation of reports and recommendations for remedial measures. • Installation, retrieval and monitoring of corrosion coupons & probes including analysis of the results and calculation or corrosion rates etc. • Collection and laboratory analysis of water and other samples from production wells, pipelines, separators etc. recording results, preparation and issuing of reports and maintenance of records and files. • Organise the procurement of Corrosion Laboratory Consumables, corrosion probes and microbiological testing media etc. | ||
| Skills | • Minimum of HND or equivalent in Chemistry but a BSc in Chemistry would be preferred. • Professional membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry or other internationally recognised societies is required. • A minimum of 10 years experience in Internal Corrosion Monitoring in the Oil & Gas industries is required. • A high standard of spoken and written English is essential. | ||
