| Description | A fast growing independent operating company in Europe is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to strengthen their team. The candidate will be the assigned reservoir engineer for specific fields and business development opportunities. As such, he/she will be the responsible person for all reservoir engineering aspects on specific fields, in the small project team assigned to the screening and evaluation of fields and subsequent preparation and implementation of incremental production projects. This involves: • Perform the reservoir engineering part of field evaluations, together with other team members such as geologist, driller, business development staff, economist and construction/operations team • Oversee and implement reservoir engineering studies subcontracted to external consultants • Quality check reservoir simulation models and interpret simulation results and provide classical reservoir management of fields. • Contribute to feasibility studies including preparation and optimization of field (re-)development scenarios • As assigned reservoir engineer for specific projects, handle reservoir engineering aspects of field development plan preparation and implementation • Prepare Management presentations and write concise technical reports • Understand the value of prospects from economic perspective and present the reservoir aspects to the Management team, and Board of Directors as relevant, for project approval • Monitor field performance post-project and recommend intervention as required • Depending on the candidate’s skills, he/she may be assigned as project leader for the subsurface part of the field evaluation process or field development plans, for specific fields. | ||
| Skills | The ideal candidate will have: • Classical reservoir engineering grounding • In-depth knowledge of reservoir engineering • Business acumen • Experience of working with Mature assets • Data room exercises • Field evaluations & FDP experience Experience in carbonate, heavy oil or fractured reservoirs is desirable. | ||
| Remarks | The company is looking for Consultants who are willing to work for a couple of months at a time or maybe 2 /3 days a week - depending on mutual convenience. | ||
