| Description | The RPS Group is an international consultancy providing advice on the development of natural resources, land and property, management of the environment and the health and safety of people. Energy is the largest division within RPS providing multi-disciplinary Technical, Commercial and Project Management Support services in the fields of operations, geoscience, engineering and HS&E to the energy sector worldwide. RPS Energy services the oil and gas, renewables and nuclear sectors from operating bases in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Malaysia. International Well Operations consultancy services are run from our UK office in Usk, Monmouthshire, South Wales in conjunction with our regional offices in Houston, Calgary, Kuala Lumpur and Perth. We are currently expanding our wellsite geology team seeking additional consultant personnel for UK and international projects. Main Responsibilities • Ensuring the geological objectives of a well program are achieved. • Supervision and quality assurance of geological service companies and contractors, including mud logging, LWD/MWD, wireline, geochemistry Accurate recording and reporting of well data. • Description of all samples - lithology and shows. • Picking of casing and coring points, and core description. • Compilation of a geological wellsite log. Preparation, transmission and archiving of all required reports and logs on a daily, weekly and as-required basis. • Ensuring that all geological operations are carried out under HSE conditions. | ||
| Skills | The candidate should possess: • Degree in related field • 5 years + mud logging experience • Horizontal geo-steering • HPHT wells • Deepwater drilling • LWD/MWD supervision • Wireline logging supervision | ||
