DescriptionSupporting field production and process teams in the Cooper Basin, this role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your engineering skills in Power & Control Systems (P&CS) Reliability Engineering, across a range of value adding activities. Working in partnership with, field engineers, maintenance, process and production personnel you will use your engineering skills to deliver initiatives for improved asset reliability.

Working as part of a team in the development, monitoring and continuous improvement of the reliability all P&CS assets within Santos Operations. Responsibilities will involve:

• Completion of assigned engineering job requests, Incident Management System (IMS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) actions within agreed schedules and ensuring follow up actions are assigned and completed for all major failures or trips within the P&CS area.
• Initiating, developing and executing minor improvement projects.
• Initiating and facilitating P&CS management of change, for changes within designated assets.
• Providing reliability input into asset development.
• Adherence to Santos Environmental, Heath and Safety (EHS) policies at all times.

Whilst this role is based in Adelaide, regular travel to site will be required and it is envisaged that as part of ongoing professional and personal development that future opportunities may be based in the field on roster.
SkillsYou will need to be an experienced engineer, with a relevant degree qualification in Electrical or Electronics engineering. A working knowledge of continuous improvement and P&CS assets within oil & gas processing and production facilities is essential. Previous commissioning experience is highly valued. The ability to build strong working relationships but also work independently, as required, with effective problem solving skills is a key requirement.
