Description DUTIES/RESP0NSIBILITIES:
The applicant will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team, to provide structural characterization of reservoirs. The team support the active exploration and development programs. The job involves work on medium and short term projects. In addition, work after regular hours, and at weekends will be required to deal with operational needs at short notice. The applicant would be expected to take initiative in solving technical problems with state of the art knowledge relevant to the fracture characterization. Data gathering from cores and borehole images, and integration with reservoir-scale observations (structural, dynamic and petrophysical) are essential parts of the daily tasks. The integration of such data aims at understanding the potential impact of fractures and faults on reservoir performance, and assist in reservoir modeling, simulation and management.
Skills MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: MS Structural Geology.
Experience: 10 years. Industrial experience in services related to structural geology in general, and fracture studies in particular. Sufficient experience in fracture characterization using borehole image interpretation, and core logging. Work experience on fractured hydrocarbon reservoirs in general and in the Middle East in particular. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements. The skills to work in a multi-discipline team and communicate technical results effectively. An understanding of the structural controls on reservoir quality. The experience in current structural modeling.
