Purpose of Job:
• Head of the Production Geology/Seismology Division reporting to the Asset Chief Petroleum Engineer.
• Guiding, steering and quality control on the asset's field team activities along with counterparts from the Reservoir Engineering, Production Technology and Petrophysics disciplines and in integrating the Petroleum Engineering activities with those of Front-End Engineering, Operations and Maintenance.

Principle Accountabilities:
• To steer and encourage staff to find innovative ideas and solutions to allow aggressive pursuit of development opportunities and actively drive conversion of scope hydrocarbon into reserves.
• Plan and co-ordinate development and near field exploration geological studies within the Asset.
• Prepare and update an inventory of exploration and appraisal scope.
• Ensure technical quality control over geological & seismic output; maintain technical standards, monitor, recommend and apply best practices.
• Co-ordinate seismic acquisition, processing /re-processing proposals and ensure their timely transfer to the interpretation environment.
• Key driver in the development process for the Assets' fields/prospects with a view to identifying opportunities for adding commercial value from new or under-utilised assets.
• Liaise on resourcing and technology issues.
• Participate in cross-asset Peer and Technical Reviews as required.
• Participate in periodic Geological Data Management Audits with the Geology Discipline Engineer and relevant staff.
• Contribute as required to Asset & Corporate Planning Documentation.
• Strictly adhere to Corporate and Departmental HSE policies & guidelines.
• Provide technical approval for geoscience related HSE critical activities.
• Mentoring & developing young Brunei staff will be an integral part of job.

Minimum Qualifications and experience required:
• A university degree or master (or equivalent) in Geology.
• Minimum of 12 years working experience in the Geosciences, preferably in a broad range of roles including 3D reservoir modelling and seismic interpretation.
• Proven man–management and mentoring skills and a track record in technology development are required.
• Some familiarity with both mixed development/exploration environments would also be beneficial.
