Purpose of Job: • Responsible for managing or contributing to one or more projects simultaneously from definition to hand over of completed projects. • The objective is the timely completion of approved projects at minimum cost, to the required technical specifications and in line with Company policies, objectives and procedures, meeting all quality, health, safety and environmental objectives. Principle Accountabilities: • To prepare project execution plans (PEPs), cost estimates, budgets and schedules. • To execute projects within budget, schedule and meeting the required specification, quality and Health Safety Security & Environment requirement. • To manage conceptual and detailed design. (ensure through regular review and audits the integrity of engineering designs prepared in-house and by external design consultants) in accordance with the agreed overall executing/Contracting Strategy. • To manage procurement process. • To initiate and manage construction activities, to co-ordinate commissioning, handover activities and project close-out. • To manage contract professionally to ensure contractual requirements/deliverables are met. | ||
| Skills | Skill/Competence: • Relevant Surface Facilities Engineering experience. • Leadership and Negotiating skills to balance the conflicting priorities of the project matrix team external design consultant and contractors, to produce solution in the best overall interest of the Company. • Capable of working under considerable pressure whilst maintaining the ability to plan, co-ordinate, motivate and direct project matrix members. • Full understanding of Health, Safety & Environment management principles and their applications. Minimum Qualifications and experience required: • A degree in engineering or equivalent, qualified engineer with good multi-discipline engineering knowledge would be an advantage. • Minimum 5 years of experience in design and construction & commissioning of projects. | ||
