| Description | The manufacturer of a new generation of lightweight, flexible, non-metallic, un-bonded pipes for use in sub-sea and other applications, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Product Development Group located in Houston, Texas. Our mission is to be truly global organization that delivers high value products to our customers through the right people, technologies and processes. A good candidate will: • Design, modify or repair components and assemblies of machinery and tools, from conceptual design based on product functional specifications, through component selection, detail design for fabrication, bills of materials, and functional test plans for new designs. • Lead outsourcing designs, and equipment fabrication. • Be a proactive individual with high energy and have the ability to work well within a team, considering that he/she will interface with management, sales, customers, quality assurance, engineers, procurement, and manufacturing partners. | ||
| Skills | • Must have a BS (Preferred a Master's degree) in Mechanical Engineering or Mech-Electronic Engineering, with strong machinery design experience. • Minimum of 5~10 year experience in established manufacture companies. • Must be proficient with Solidworks, and AutoCad, from solid modeling to detailed drawings. • Be able to design complex mechanical assemblies with bill of materials attached. • Understand manufacturing processes and be able to design around aforementioned processes. • Be able to furnish drawings to include specifications for machining and welding, and simple wiring. • Have excellent communications, creativity and project management skills. • Patentable design experience is a plus. | ||
