| Description | A Major LNG Company based in Angloa is looking to recruit a Marine Operations Superintendent. The person will be providing expert marine operations counsel to project management, design engineers, and operations staff. Specifically this position will be providing detailed input on export terminal design and operability, compliance with international marine regulations, industry standards and marine safety and marine environmental and emergency response. The position will hold primary responsibility for developing functional specifications for, and contracting for, the required harbor fleet vessels, establishing the requirements for marine personnel and training, development of operating procedures and guidelines, and providing CAPEX and OPEX estimates of terminal marine operations support. The Marine Operations Superintendent will be expected to work and make decisions with a high degree of independency and accountability in alignment with the general policies and work guidelines provided by the Operations Manager, but in close consultation as required with other functional team leaders of the AnLNG management team. | ||
| Skills | Accordingly, the candidate must have a suitable educational background and at least 5 years experience in a Deck Officer senior ranking position (i.e. Chief Officer or above) on board LNG or other gas or oil carriers as well as strong experience in the development and/or management of marine terminals particularly dedicated to loading of gas and petroleum products. Experience as Pilot/Mooring Master and general knowledge of tugs’ and other service vessels operation is also desirable. | ||
