| Description | An Independent Oil and Gas Operating Company is currently recruiting a Well Services Advisor. The primary objective of the WSA is to ensure that the companies WELL SERVICE operations are carried out safely with minimum deferment of Oil & Gas production and at optimum cost. -The responsibility of the Advisor extends to a wide range of surface and sub-surface activities. The WSA will be involved in direct or indirect supervision, and or supplying technical advice to related issues for the Production, PED and Drilling Departments. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: -Organize and Plan the Running and supervision of all Well Service Operations including Coil Tubing and other intervention jobs. -To review rigless workover programs and inspect service companies equipment prior to job implementation. -Train company supervisors of all aspects of Well Service work, especially planning and failure analysis, also provide expert advice to supervisors and crews to improve work practices and solve problems. -Supervise directly all critical activities, including critical well intervention activities [ fishing etc ] -To develop preventative maintenance proposals inline with existing company standards and good oilfield practice, also optimize testing intervals and techniques, taking due notice of past well history. -Ensure that all services are performed in a safe manner, to the required standard using good oilfield practice, and materials and equipment supplied will be free from defects and suitable for their intended purpose. - Ensure that all cranes and associated lifting slings and shackles are inspected and certified. -Ensure that sufficient spare parts are held to allow all types and quantities of equipment to be serviced at required intervals. -Assist the Head and Assistant Head of Drilling in completion design, completion program, and all related operations follow up at the rig site and workshop to prepare all completion sub-assemblies. | ||
| Skills | 1. Minimum 15 to 20 years-worldwide International experience in On/Offshore Well Services Operations, Good experience with gas lift systems and work in high deviated or Horizontal Well Bore is essential. 2. Good Knowledge and Experience of down-hole completions that use “Baker” , “Otis” and “Camco” related Nipple, SSD and SCSSSV equipment. 3. Experience in compiling Slick-Line Fishing programs and supervising fishing operations when necessary. 4. Experience in all Standard Slick-Line Operations and related equipment. 5. Full command of English language [ spoken and written ] 6. In depth knowledge of codes and standards for downhole tools as well as production Wellheads, valves and all other Wellhead surface control equipment . 7. Experience in sour gas Wireline operations and related safety procedures. 8. Managerial qualifications to lead wireline and workshop crews, along with a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements. 9. Experience in planning and preparing Programs for Slick-Line and Well services activities in conjunction with Production, PED and Drilling Departments. 10. Experience and knowledge of Coil Tubing operations and BHA requirements. 11. Good knowledge of electric submersible pump [ESP] systems, both Down-Hole and Surface Equipment. 12. Fully conversant but not necessary limited to work with modern PC software applications [MS word, excel, PowerPoint]. | ||
