| Description | Job Responsibilities: • Primary liaison between the field operations and the Aktau office. • Responsible for managing Contractors/Services and assisting Company personnel in the executing of all operations performed in the drilling, completion, testing and abandonment of, exploration and development wells for the Company at the wellsite. • Responsible for executing all technical and operational aspects of drilling, completion, testing and abandonment related activities as detailed in the respective Programmes. • Responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and that costs are minimised where practical and non-productive time is avoided. • Develop, discuss and review daily work instructions for the drilling process with the Drilling Superintendent and office. • Ensure all Company Safety Rules and HSEQ Regulations are followed. Work with Drilling & Workover personnel, Field Supervisors, Material & Logistic Coordinators, Rig Contractors and 3rd party Service Providers to ensure that modern and internationally recognised industry practices are followed and/or implemented. Participate in HSEQ related audits and investigations as required by the Drilling & Workover Department. • Provide co-ordination between Company Operations, Rig Contractors, 3rd party Service Providers and Company Logistical Support so as to ensure that all the necessary materials, equipment, services and personnel arrive and leave the location as necessary to ensure continuous operations. • Ensure that the Rig Contractors and 3rd party Service Providers in the field maintain their Rigs, Equipment and Materials adequately to maximise efficiency and minimise non-productive time, and that Company provided Materials and Equipment are properly utilised, handled and stored. • Responsible for ensuring that Rig Contractors and 3rd party Service Providers are working in accordance with the Contract. Participate in Quality and pre-acceptance related audits and inspections as required by the Drilling & Workover Department. • Ensure that the Rig Contractors and 3rd party Service Providers meets all Contractual requirements, and confirm and sign-off on all factual Rig Contractor and 3rd party Service Provider services by way of tour reports and field tickets. • Has the authority in the field to represent the Company with respects to the implementation of drilling contracts while in close communication with the Drilling Superintendent. • Work with Drilling & Workover Department personnel as required to accomplish all well objectives, including other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Drilling & Workover Department. • Work with other departments in the field to ensure all well objectives are met in the delivery of optimum producing wells which also includes exploration/appraisal wells. • Supervise the running of new drilling tools and equipment, executing procedures as provide from the office and implementing practices that are geared towards reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency. • Coordinate specific work activities with the Workover Supervisors to optimise operations as required. • While in the field, prepare daily drilling reports, daily cost reports, tubing tallies, etc, and all other reports (i.e. safety, incident, investigation, etc) as required by the Drilling & Workover Department. • Responsible for requesting a written report or statement from the Rig Contractors and 3rd party Service Providers for any item, event or occurrence that, in his opinion, warrants such a report. • Responsible for ensuring that optimum cost control is exercised in the field and costs are kept within set AFE limits. • Teach, train and develop junior or trainee staff. • Reports to the Drilling Superintendent. | ||
| Skills | Job Requirements & Experience: • Minimum 4 years of relevant, at least 2 years as a Drilling Supervisor for an Operator • BSc/MSc in Science or Engineering from an industry recognised university is a strong advantage. • International Experience. • Experience with exploration and development wells. Horizontal well experience is beneficial. • Strong project management skills, team orientated and ability to communicate. • Commitment to safety, exceptional service and continuous improvement. • Able to mentor and train junior and/or local staff. • Fluent in English (spoken, written and reading), Russian is an advantage. • Rotational position. • Valid IWCF Surface BOP Supervisor Certification. | ||
