| Description | As a member of the OMV (Yemen) management team, your main tasks will be to manage the commercial affairs of the Branch Office and to initiate and conclude new business opportunities. Key activities/responsibilities will include: - Comply with OMV standards and procedures. - Provide legal advice and support as required in connection with OMV Yemen current operations, commercial matters and business development activities. - Develop and maintain a screened list of new business opportunities in Yemen (acquisitions, divestments, farm-ins/-outs, swaps, infrastructure, commercial opportunities mid/down- stream opportunities). - Investigate and advise new business development possibilities. Pursuing specific growth opportunities from initial screening to completion. Building internal alignment for potential opportunities. Initiating business development opportunities. - Provide support to and liaise with Vienna BDC Team regarding such opportunities. - Co-ordinating with other OMV Branch Offices and Business Units regarding integrated opportunities. - Interfacing with the counter party and leading any negotiations . - Maintaining relationships with investment banks and advisors. - Negotiation of acquisitions, disposals, farm-ins, farm-outs, joint operating agreements and any other commercial agreements. - Negotiate, follow up and maintain functional crude oil and/or gas processing and transportation agreements with any third parties involved (pipeline/facilities owners and operators, FSO’ or any other exporting terminal owner and/or operator). - Coordinate with the export terminal operator and arrange accordingly with OMV ST/TSL regarding the crude oil nomination and the crude oil lifting schedule. - Negotiate, follow up and maintain functional crude oil and/or gas sales agreement with any interested JV partner, with OMV ST/TSL and any final buyer. - Manage any other commercial dealings of the Branch Office - Ensure compliance of the Branch Office with the provisions of concerned agreements - Represent OMV (Yemen) within the limits of authority as granted by the General Manager from time to time. - Liaise with government authorities and representatives on all commercial deals and business development matters affecting OMV Yemen BO in particular and OMV E&P in general. - Participate drafting and negotiating several contracts including but not limited to PSA, JOA, FOA. - Arrange for, prepare and participate all meetings concerning commercial and business development issues. | ||
| Skills | - University degree in relevant discipline (technical, law or finance) - At least 10 years E&P experience, ideally initial technical experience with progression to a commercial and/or business development position or alternatively at least 8 years M&A experience with an investment bank or advisor specializing in the E&P sector - Experience of dealing with evaluations, negotiations and joint ventures - Team player with interpersonal, entrepreneurial and negotiating skill - Self starter with enthusiasm and the drive to see things through - Ambitious and result oriented - Fluent in written and spoken English. - PC literate (MS Windows, MS Office, etc) - Cultural sensitivity | ||
