Description POSITION SUMMARY
This position will provide coiled tubing engineering and operations support for Client’ development projects and producing assets. The position requires significant experience with coiled tubing engineering and field operations. Additionally, the successful candidate in this role must have an understanding of oil and gas well construction and intervention operations. Normal job duties will be to provide in-house technical expertise and engineering consultation on all types of coiled tubing projects in support of development and production operations within the upstream exploration and production business. This position will require some domestic and international travel.

ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical expertise on coiled tubing engineering and field operations in the upstream business including providing engineering expertise on procedures, applications and limitations, and consultation on troubleshooting field operations.
• Provide engineering consultation to technical staff and E&P leadership on coiled tubing related issues.
• Stay current with the latest technology developments with respect to coiled tubing engineering, applications and operations. Evaluate the technologies for potential application and assist the operating units with the proper application and evaluation of new technologies.
• Review existing and new well and/or facilities designs and provide technical recommendations for the application of coiled tubing.
• Assist operating units with troubleshooting of coiled tubing related problems and development of cost-effective solutions.
• Review Client’ practices with respect to industry standards and trends; develop and implement changes to company standards and best practices.
• Teach periodic internal classes on coiled tubing engineering and operations to the upstream E&P business.
• Be familiar with industry codes and standards, such as API and ISO, in regard to coiled tubing engineering and operations.
• Participate in relevant external professional societies and industry meetings/conferences to stay abreast of the current technology and trends with coiled tubing.
Skills SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 20+ years of coiled tubing engineering and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of coiled tubing and its applications and/or limitations, including an understanding of the engineering modeling (e.g. hydraulics, drag calculations, etc.)
• Must be knowledgeable of the downhole tools and surface equipment required for coiled tubing operations and their application and limitations
• Self-motivated to learn and adopt new technologies, mentor others, and coordinate technology deployment with other EPT teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management and operations.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment.
• Track record of successful accomplishments and executed projects with coiled tubing engineering and operations
• Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineering Registration is strongly preferred

• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and EXCEL
• Coiled tubing engineering and operations related software (e.g. tubing forces, tubing stress, hydraulics simulation, fatigue life, etc.)
