DescriptionObjectives of the position: The primary responsible is to advise our CASING DRILLING business line team within each Tesco business unit focused on business development, engineering and operations for global projects.

Relationships

Responsible to: Vice President CASING DRILLING - Business Line

Internal Relationships: Close relationship with the CASING DRILLING -Business Line team, VP Manufacturing, BU General Managers, Legal, Corporate Controller

External Relationships: Clients, Tesco agents, Competitors, Service Industry

Principal Tasks

- Assist Business Units (BU) in developing CD projects globally (focus on business development, engineering and operational needs)
- Organize engineering and operational resources to support global CD projects
- Review commercial proposals, business cases, contracts, agency agreements, logistics, risk assessments, drilling programs, and organize peer reviews, etc for international projects.
- Develop global service quality plan with Global Operations Manager
- Assist with HSE as it applies to our projects
- Manage global assets and inventory
- Assist with Sales and Operating Plan (S&OP)
- Responsible to transfer engineering best practices across BU.
- Travel to other countries to advise / oversee start up projects
- Work with Strategic Business Planning to develop strategic business relationships with key operators and service companies
- Communicate technical needs with R&D
- Sales at various levels with operating companies
- Negotiation of contracts & presentation for acceptance by an officer of the corporation
Skills Educational Qualifications

- Technical or Business degree
- Appropriate Upstream Industry experience
- Extensive knowledge of upstream Industry sector and drilling machinery and equipment

Competencies Required for Effective Performance

- Strong project management and business skills
- Knowledge of cultural, commercial, and legal issues relating to international business
- Strong ability to work both independently and in coordination and cooperation with Internal and External resources
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting and cost control
- Sufficient technical understanding to communicate complex engineering features to customers
- Appropriate knowledge of competitor’s capabilities
- Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Oral and written communication skills
- Highly flexible and willing to travel
