Description RESPONSIBILITIES

o Create and revise electrical and physical drawings of high voltage (12,000 Volts and up) distribution and transmission substations and lines, including:

o Layout plans and elevations.
o Detailed assembly with bills of material.
o Foundation plans and details.
o Structural steel erection diagrams, details & bill of materials.
o Conduit plans and details.
o Grounding plans and details.
o Site preparation details, ( TOPO)

o Create and revise protection / control drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations and lines, including:

o Single line, logic, three line and schematic diagrams.
o Control house layouts, panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
o Cable block diagrams and cable terminations.
o Communications

o Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions.

o Update drawings to field as-built conditions.

o Provide project support/office support as required.

o Occasional travel to field sites may be required.

o Participate in an annual performance review.
Skills PROJECT DESIGNER - HOUSTON (RELAY / SCADA/ CIVIL / STRUCTURAL)
PREREQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience

o Highly motivated and an independent self starter.
o Associates degree in mechanical design or electrical engineering/technology preferred, high school diploma required.
o Experience with physical layout and structural detailing - preferred
o Experience with electrical schematics and wiring - preferred

Computer Skills

o Demonstrated experience with the following software programs:
Microsoft Work, Excel, and Outlook - Required
Bentley MicroStation - Preferable
Intergraph IRAS/B - Preferable
Autodesk AutoCAD r14 or 2000 – Desirable
Autodesk Raster Overlay – Desirable
Remarks US work permit is required
