| Description | A Leading EPC Group is on lookout for a Corporate Quality Manager for their Abu Dhabi operations. Reporting to: Director of Operation Job description Corporate Quality Manager (CQM) aims to ensure that the service the company provide is fit for its purpose and meets client expectations. A corporate quality manager co-ordinates the activities required to meet this aim. The CQM establishes and monitors on how the quality management system is performing and publishes data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators. CQM liaise with managers and staff throughout the organization (Contracting Company) to ensure that the Quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the QS manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality. Typical work activities Since maintaining quality demands constant change to meet Client expectations, Corporate Quality managers is expected to employ a variety of measures to place quality at the heart of an organization. These include management systems such as ISO 9000, philosophies, such as Total Quality Management, and methodologies such as Continuous Improvement. The work of the Corporate Quality Manager will include some or all of the following activities: • Establishing the Quality System, Project Quality Plan and Departmental Procedures. • Leading a group of QA/QC managers on various sites/ projects. • promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. • setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved. • maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues. • ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation. • considering the application of environmental and health/safety standards. • agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply. • defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. • setting up and maintaining controls and documentation. • identifying relevant quality-related training needs. • collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters. • writing management system reports. • bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures. • persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods. • Establishing and leading the Audit functions to the quality system. • establishing standards of service for clients in various projects. • monitoring performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. | ||
| Skills | Requirements The ideal candidate should be Western Educated. Master Degree in Quality Management, or Quality Certificates from reputable Universities/ institutes. Degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical is required. Proven records in Establishing, implementing, and maintaining a Corporate Quality System for large scale companies. Experience in Establishing departmental procedures is an asset. Ability to lead a team of QA/QC on various sites/ Projects. Quality System Audit certification – Lead Auditor. Ability to set a training programme in multi-disciplinary work environment. | ||
