| Description | OMV Exploration & Production GmbH is the independent operating division of OMV AG, the leading oil and natural gas group in Central and Eastern Europe. We operate over 450 oil and gas fields worldwide both onshore and offshore. The Russian and Caspian region, one of OMV´s six core regions is a rising giant in terms of oil and gas production. Due to six exploration and production licenses (all operated by OMV/Petrom), the actual development of the Komsomolskoe onshore oil field, recent discoveries and planned additional redevelopment projects we want to expand our Purchasing Department in Almaty. Responsibilities: • Develop the procurement department and ensure that all processes are transparent and documented • Ensure compliance with company and local governmental policies and procedures • Plan economic utilisation of field base warehouse facilities • Monitor and improve the ongoing services of vendors in terms of cost, quality and delivery • Approve and check all purchase/service orders and sealed tender documents for products and services • Coordinate opening and follow up of sealed tenders and negotiate with vendors • Liaise and follow up with all vendors on performance • Monitor procurement and logistics processes for cost effectiveness • Expedite outstanding purchase service orders with local vendors • Prepare reports and inform management on procurement and logistics related activities | ||
| Skills | Qualifications: • At least ten years of relevant Procurement/Logistics experience with an Operator and/or Service Company • Proven management track record in supervising all P&L functions required • Excellent management and communication skills, proactive approach to problem solving • Excellent negotiator with cultural awareness • Fluent in English, Russian would be an advantage | ||
