| Description | Basic Functions Repairs & maintenance of Companys offshore equipment & facilities down to depth of 140 ft of water & all other ofshore surface equipment. Maintains diving & maintenance equipment on the diving & heavy lift barge. Function & Responsibilities 1. To be able to do all possible diving down to a water depth of 140 ft. 2. Operates the decompression chamber to give necessary decompression or possible therapeutic decompression treatment when requested. 3. Operates 50 ft mooring launches when required. 4. Maintains diving & heavy lift barge & all diving equipment in a satisfactory manner. 5. Carries out repairs & maintains on all offshore equipment & facilities. 6. In emergencies to assist in marine operations in rescue of persons & vessels. 7. To be able to undertake underwater oxy arc & termic cutting. | ||
| Skills | Secondary School Certificate or equivalent & to be in possession of a Diving Certificate issued by internationally recognised authority. Have an in-depth knowledge of diving procedures including decompression treatment. 5 years diving experience & 5 years experience in general maintenance. | ||
