Description POSITION SUMMARY:
The multi-disciplinary Libya Subsurface Team, based in Houston, is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to provide classical reservoir engineering expertise to maximize the value of Client' business interests in the Waha joint-venture, located onshore Libya. The Libya asset portfolio is comprised of, and will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work on, a wide-range of world-class production assets and major development projects.

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be an integral part in delivering team and business goals
• Generate and maintain Client-independent categorized reserve / contingent resource estimates and associated production projections using decline curve, material balance and volumetric recovery calculation methods
• Assist the team with developing and presenting integrated Field Development Plans on all major assets within the Libya portfolio with particular emphasis on identifying and evaluating production enhancement / expansion opportunities
• Economic analysis of reserve development and other investment opportunities
• Develop capital investment, production and reserve movement forecasts for annual business budgets and Asset Value Plans
• Participate in and periodically represent Client' business interests at various partner (ConocoPhillips, Marathon, NOC, Waha Oil) technical meetings in Houston and Libya
• Assist the Commercial and Global New Business Development groups with technical analysis and negotiation of key contracts and agreements
Skills SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 4-6 years of relevant experience
• Prior international experience beneficial, but not required
• Sound understanding of reserve estimation methods and reserve/resource categorization
• Understanding of reservoir engineering principles of secondary / tertiary recovery processes and demonstrated ability to evaluate, monitor and forecast the performance of recovery enhancement projects (e.g. water/gas injection and infill drilling)
• Functional knowledge of petroleum geology, geophysics, drilling and production operation principles and their relation to practical reservoir management
• Computer literacy: experience with Microsoft Office products required; knowledge of technical software such as OFM and Eclipse are important
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a highly-collaborative, multi-cultural team environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proactive, logical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Willing to travel to Libya (2-3 trips per year) to participate in partner technical meetings

EDUCATION / TRAINING:
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely-related engineering discipline is required
• Master's of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred
