| Description | POSITION SUMMARY: The multi-disciplinary Okume Complex Subsurface Team, based in Houston, is seeking a Development Geologist to provide classical geologic expertise to maximize the value of Client' business interests in the Okume, Oveng, Ebano reservoir areas of Okume Complex, located offshore Equatorial Guinea. The position will interact closely with reservoir engineers and earth scientists to refine and maintain a first quartile geologic assessment of the subsurface. ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be an integral part in achieving team and business goals during active development drilling of the Okume Complex • Assist the team with developing and presenting integrated Field Development Plans on all major assets within the Okume Complex portfolio with particular emphasis on identifying future potential and evaluating new well data • Assist in the preparation of Client-independent categorized reserve / contingent resource estimates and associated production projections using classical volumetric techniques and analogs • Assist in generating and selecting low, BTE, and high oil-in-place assessments for the Okume, Oveng, Ebano reservoir areas of the Okume Complex • Participate in and periodically represent Client' business interests at various partner technical meetings in Houston • Provide geologic expertise to all phases of the value chain • Participate in peer reviews and other Client initiatives | ||
| Skills | SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: • Strong background in all aspects of development and production geology • Experience working deepwater sediment reservoirs preferred • Strong understanding of the inter-relationship between the geoscience and engineering disciplines • Excellent communication skills with proven success in working within a team environment • Ability to evaluate reservoirs based on geologic and engineering data • Functional knowledge of reservoir engineering, geophysics, drilling and production operation principles and their relation to practical reservoir management • Computer literacy: experience with Microsoft Office products required; knowledge of technical software such as Petrel is important • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a highly-collaborative, multi-cultural team environment EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years of relevant experience. Prior international experience beneficial, but not required. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master's of Science Degree in Geology. | ||
