| Description | Basic Function: Performs vibration analysis, supervises & co-ordinates a vibration program & technicians. Function & Responsibilities: 1. Perform routine vibration monitoring to determine the condition of equipment. 2. Co-ordinate, direct & improve a predictive maintenance program. 3. Analyse vibration problems & make recommendation to take corrective action. 4. Supervise vibration technicians & prepare reports for management. 5. Balance rotors, both in-situ & in a balancing machine. 6. Works closely with maintenance staff & advises on preventative & predictive maintenance procedures. 7. Should be computer literate so as to run vibration programs & prepare reports. 8. Should be familiar with the following: - IRD analyzers, balancers & data collector. - Microlog data collector & software. - Bentley Nevada & Vibrometer permanent monitoring equipment. - Centrifugal compressors, fans, gearboxes & pumps. - Gas Turbines Independance of Operation: Must possess the ability to make recommendations & decisions to improve equipment reliability. Also to work closely with other departments. | ||
| Skills | B.S.c Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivelant. Must possess minimum of 12 years in Vibration Analysis & Balancing. | ||
