| Description | Basic Function: Participates in the installation, maintenance & repairs of ESP equipment associated with the company's oil & gas operations. Function & responsibilities: 1. Observes safe work practices within field & workshop areas & ensures that the personnel under his jurisdiction observe applicable safety procedures & regulations. 2. Ensures that all installation & repair work is carried out according to the applicable standards & codes of practice and that the personnel under his command are aware of such standards. 3. Conversant with cable splicing procedures and be able to complete to a high level a cable splice in the field. 4. Conversant with well completion aspects & production factors. 5. Have ESP work experience of land rigs, Vortex & Keltronics Motor controllers, maintenance & operation of Fixed Speed Switchboards, Installation & used of Multi-channel Down hole Monitoring Tools, Assembly at location of tandem equipment, Modular Protectors, Compression type Pumps & ESP troubleshooting & Faultfinding & ESP Start-up & Commissioning. 6. Liaises with supervisory staff in order to solve complex problems. 7. Complete electronic Pull & Run reports & assist in the maintenance of files & records pertaining to the installed equipment. 8. Educates & works closely with local trainees & monitors progress. 9. Analyses equipment faults & makes recommendations regarding corrective action. 10. Understands the Company's warehousing system & stock control methods. 11. Prepares stock withdrawal orders on a routine basis. 12. Has a high standard of housekeeping, both in the workshop area & on site. | ||
| Skills | A graduate from a recognised Technical Institute plus 8 years post-training experience in ESP cable splicing, testing, inventory control, follow up the Purchase Orders/enquiries, selection of cables to suit current requirment & sourcing of tools/equipment for proper work execution. Received safety training in the H2S, PPE, Risk Assessment, Safe working at location, Rigging & Slinging of Heavy Loads/ESP equipment & Fork Lift Safe Operation & Driving. Familiar with Microsoft Office Programs. | ||
