| Description | Main areas of responsibility for this position consist of engineering support in the preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, shutdown and major and minor maintenance activities, on various types of high and low voltage equipment situated in designated areas. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES To plan, direct, supervise and coordinate all Maintenance activities on electrical equipment, troubleshoot complex electrical problems and supervise senior electrical technicians, technicians and contractor staff in the assigned area. To enforce the implementation of Gasco Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all division and department personnel. To ensure availability of tools, spares and consumables for all the activities in the assigned area. To review the periodic & shutdown work plans and integrate activities with other sections for their execution. To carry out detailed engineering, prepare scope of work & technical evaluation for extra ordinary maintenance (EOM) and major maintenance (MM) activities. To approve work orders, material issue requests, initiate purchase requisition (PR), prepare proposals for stick (PFS) and ensure updating of equipment history profile in Maximo. To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating and 5 instructions, plus scope of work for contract jobs and service work orders. To investigate and prepare Non Conformance and Incident Reports (NCR). To perform High Voltage switching activities. To verify the updated drawings, carryout review of electrical procedures & instructions and assist for the maintenance of documentation system. To ensure development & implementation of Competency Plans (PDP’s) and UAE Nationalization directives. To continuously improve the quality of data input into the Maximo systems, so as to ensure retrieval of quality information. | ||
