| Description | PURPOSE: To support competency-based development plans (CAS & CAMS) by conducting On Job Training (OJT) for UAE National developees in the Electrical Section. To train the established staff of Electrical section in any new technology if required. BACKGROUND: The Electrical Job Instructor reports to the Plant Training & development Section Head. He provides On Job Training (OJT) to the UAE national developees. As part of the Nationalization process of Company, young UAE nationals are recruited as developees and being trained to take established positions in the company. In order to develop them as competent personnel, structures OJT programs have been developed as CAS for Juniors and CAMS for Seniors. The Job Instructor’s role is to teach and train them to the adequate competency level in the organization in par with the employees in established positions. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES • To provide On Job Training to the Electrical Engineer Developees using CAMS document as a guideline. Also, provide them with required training materials and give guidance. • To provide On Job Training to the Electrical Technician Developees using CAS document as a guideline. Also provide them with the required training materials and give guidance. • To set targets to the developees on monthly and quarterly basis and assist the section head in conducting formal assessments and quarterly progress reports. • To maintain co-ordination with the Electrical section on daily basis to get the knowledge of the maintenance activities at site and make the training plans accordingly. • To give practical assignments to the developees and witness their real work and make report. To ensure that the trainees maintain their own records. • To monitor and follow up the progress of the developees and maintain accurate record of their progress, attendance and punctuality. • To use Training software and MS Power point for training. • To provide industrial training to the students from University, HCT and ATI etc. To give any other short training as required by the section head such as orientation to visitors, briefing others on specific subjects etc. • To ensure that the developees adhere to the company’s HSE policies and procedures. To ensure that they get sufficient knowledge on safety and integrity of the plant. • To train existing staff on any new technology implemented in the company and, and provide refresher training if required. • To review counseling sessions for developees to identify any problems which impede their development, and propose recommendations. • To participate in the preparation of Company’s annual training plan, in Co-ordination with section head and if necessary assist in the implementation. | ||
