| Description | Objective: To ensure that the international and local port security rules and regulations are implemented and that their impact on the operation of the port is minimized. Key Tasks • To draft and implement security policy and regulations in accordance with international standards • To ensure compliance with all maritime and port security related laws and regulations enacted by the Federal Government of the UAE, the Government of Abu Dhabi and the DOT • To work with the security providers to ensure their procedures and systems comply with company regulations and guidelines for implementation • To audit the security systems of ports • To be aware of and understand all international maritime and port related security regulations • To monitor and analyze the trends in international security systems and regulations • To ensure that the company guidelines for security are drafted in such a way that implementation and monitoring of compliance is manageable, cost efficient and minimizes negative operational impact • To make recommendations on behalf of company to the bodies drafting maritime and port security conventions • To manage contractors of security providers as required | ||
| Skills | • A graduate with 10+ years of experience • Sound knowledge and experience in the design and management of port security systems • Sound expertise in ISPS and other international security initiatives • Experience in management of port and / or maritime security | ||
