| Description | A Reputed Oil and Gas Company is looking out for a QA QC Manager for their operations in UAE. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Job purpose Develop, implement and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements, procedures and contracts for pipeline and related facility construction projects. Key Responsibilities - - Prepare the plans, procedures, and manuals required to develop a comprehensive QA/QC program. - Provide QA/QC input to the Bid Strategy, Bid Documents, Bid Evaluations and contract awards. - Quantify and source manpower and equipment required to implement the company QA/QC program. - Monitor the work progress and verify compliance with program requirements. - Arrange for, assign, schedule, and provide functional direction to all company civil, structural, welding, coating, painting, dimensional, and mechanical inspectors, including all third party inspectors. - Maintain a formal procedure for tracking and resolution of all non-compliance issues. - Support best practices, industry standards, and learning activities as needed. Key Responsibilities – Manufacturers, Mills and Contractors - Review, approve and audit contractor QA/QC organization, procedures and work processes. - Approve all contractor, vendor, and manufacturer inspection and QA/QC personnel to assure they are qualified. - Responsible for technical review and acceptance of contractor material selections, welding procedures and NDT program. - Verify through surveillance and audit that the contractors quality controls are in place and effective. - Ensure appropriate documentation is provided. Position will provide QA/QC service to multiple projects, including pipeline construction, gas control station expansion and existing pipeline modifications. Scope includes manufacturing sites, mills, coating yard, fabrication sites, storage sites and construction sites. | ||
| Skills | QUALIFICATIONS – Technical - Relevant engineering degree, preferably mechanical engineering. - 15 years experience in QA/QC for pipeline and facilities projects, some of which is as a working inspector. - CSWIP/ASNT Certification. - Member of professional QA/QC body such as Institute of Quality Assurance. - Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 (Quality Management Systems) requirements. - Broad knowledge of construction and inspection best practices. - The ability to identify and intervene in problem areas, well developed problem solving skills. - The ability to interface seamlessly with engineering, construction and operations contractors. - Experience with Quality Management Systems. - Abilility to organize and conduct quality audits. - Good computer skills including MS Office. QUALIFICATIONS - Interpersonal - Highly developed teamworking and influencing skills as the QA Superintendent will be involved in appraising and evaluating other disciplines’ work and in offering advice to these disciplines - Maturity and the ability to respect and value all people’s contributions - The ability to influence without causing conflict - Good mentoring skills - Well organised and methodical in the way he works - Good presentational skills, both written and oral - Attention to detail and quality | ||
