DescriptionBasic Function:
Designs, develops & supervises the installation of gas process plant modifications, extensions & construction to improve gas production in the company's gas plants in the Field & Terminal. Involves process studies, associated equipment design & cost studies on both new & old equipment.

Function & Responsibilities:
1. Develops concepts for plant expansion based on highly technical, computer oriented studies of the properties of the fluids & on pressures & temperatures of various vessels & other components in the system.
2. Forecasts liquid recovery for proposed expansion projects & prepares technical & economic justification for new projects.
3. Organises & directs new engineering projects, including preparations of detailed technical plans, selection & ordering of material, preparing bid specifications & engineering surveillance of construction.
4. Participates in the initial start-up of new equipment, making adjustment & modifications as required to correct any faults that occur.
5. Troubleshoots field operating problems & makes recommendations for equipment and/or operating procedures for existing plant.
6. Co-ordinates data, designs & schedules with outside engineering firms & Zueitina field personnel.
7. Teach hydrocarbon processing operations to junior engineering & Zueitina plant operators & maintenance people as required.

Independence of Operation:
Works independently on assigned projects, with light supervision.
Decisions made must be agreed to by Senior Staff Process Engineer.
SkillsB.Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering, natural gas processing or equivalent, speaks & reads English language. 8 years experience in gas processing or refining plants or in processing consulting firm.
