| Description | Outline of Role: Ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Earth Station at all times and provide Pre Sales support to the Business Development and Sales teams. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist in the management and maintenance of all Earth Station operations. • Maintain Earth Station and ensure correct operation at all times. • Engineer and implement new circuits through the teleport as and when required, this includes SCPC, TDMA, iDirect and Vipersat circuits and networks. Effectively manage these networks on a day to day basis. • Maintain critical power systems. • Make sure that the network and carrier monitoring tools are operational at all times. • Assist in the development of network and carrier monitoring tools. • Set up all levels and test system as a whole including antenna verification testing. • With Teleport Supervisor, ensure Earth Station/space segment documentation is kept up to date, including all site licenses. • Assist in liaison with satellite providers, local PTT’s and the preparation of link budgets as required. • Assist Sales Department with space segment quotations and network design as required. • Assist the Operations Dept as and when required. • Make sure staff are aware of all relevant network and carrier management tools available and assist in mentoring staff to use these tools efficiently. • Be available to travel to other Global managed teleports to assist as and when necessary. • Be available to work out of hours as and when required, as operational matters dictate. | Skills | Experience/Skills Required: Degree in Electronics/Telecommunications and experience of RF Systems or Teleport Operations. | ||
