| Description | POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Engineer will be required to support the Refinery in the field of civil/structural engineering covering all aspects from conceptual design, through detailed engineering, day-to-day activities, and long-term performance improvements. The successful candidate is expected to: Produce highly advanced and complex designs in the civil and structural field. Identify cost effective solutions to design problems using STAAD PRO software. Communicate with Operations, Maintenance, Central engineering, and other design consultants concerning specific design issues. Provide technical guidance to Refinery Operations on all structural, civil, and geotechnical related issues. Significant knowledge of standard methods and practices in this field like ASCE, AISC, and UBC. Review drawings, specifications, and other engineering data. Assists in the development of standards to meet quality specifications and recommends procedural changes. | ||
| Skills | SELECTION CRITERIA: BS Civil/Structural Engineering. Minimum of 10 years experiences in structural, civil, and geotechnical design engineering related to refinery, NGL plants, and Gas Compression plants, and their associated building design projects. Excellent communication skills in oral and written English. Must have participated in project commissioning, field problems troubleshooting in oil and gas related industries. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices, international standards, and economic principles related to incumbent's field. | ||
