| Description | Accountable for: • Setting corporate financial policies, guidelines, general business plan and budgets. • Structuring funding and balance sheet management. • Providing financial information internally and externally (financial reports, summaries, forecasts, etc.) • Ensuring asset/liability management within internal and regulatory guidelines. • Provision of Business support activities including HR, procurement, IT and logistical services. Key Roles: Financial Strategy and Planning • Develops financial strategy and long term forecasts. • Develops and maintains strong relationships with financial advisors, auditors, energy, oil& gas, government organizations, and the banking industry to monitor best practice and industry trends. • Recommends optimal capital structure and dividends distribution strategies. • Initiates, directs, and manages investments, business and organizational finances as per the Company’s objectives. Risk management Drives the establishment of risk policies and processes across the whole spectrum of risk (e.g., market, credit, operational) Financial Control • Initiates and directs the formulation of financial and accounting policies and procedures by working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors • Directs the preparation of financial accounts, detailed budgets and financial plans on a composite and unitary basis for approval and distribution to all units and functions in the company • Oversees and approves the accuracy of financial statements and budget • Ensures full compliance with all Board and external statutory financial accounting requirements, record keeping and reporting, and auditing functions Reports To:CEO | ||
| Skills | Education • Bachelors in finance, accounting, or engineering is required. • Professional designation (CA, CFA or CPA) is preferred Experience • 10+ years of finance experience in top rated financial services, conglomerate, investment company or large energy utilities player • 5+ years in executive finance position Competencies • Excellent financial analysis skills • Strong understanding of UAE accounting principles • Understanding of the GCC capital markets • Strong business acumen and investment evaluation experience • Good understanding of support operations • Excellent people management skills • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Good understanding of information technology | ||
