BASIC FUNCTION: Establish strategic partnership with department management to support delivery of Company goals and objectives in regards to benefits, training and employee engagement. DUTIES: BENEFITS 1.Obtain knowledge base for addressing questions regarding benefits. Using this knowledge to assist current employees and during new hire orientation. 2.Train and interact with supervisors and employees to raise awareness of employee benefits and compensation. 3.Manage all FMLA and Leaves of Absences for all U.S. Shore based positions according to Company policy. 4.Ensure compliance of Company’s Vacation Policy and Time-Off Tracking System. 5.Manage all FMLA and Leaves of Absences for all U.S. Shore based positions according to Company policy. 6.Act as a Van Pool Coordinator for HQS. TRAINING 1.Act as facilitator during training courses as needed in the development of HQS employees. 2.Assist in course preparation and set up as needed. DEPARTMENTAL 1.Coordinate quarterly “Transocean Starts with you” and other HR-HQS monthly or quarterly meetings. 2.Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with department managers, directors and executives to enable successful delivery of Company goals and objectives. 3.Administer Random Drug Screening Program (Corporate) to include pulling randoms, filing of reports and approving/coding invoices to ensure compliance of Company Policy. 4.Active participant in the engagement of our HQS employees through various activities. 5.Ensure that all Governmental and State postings requirements are in compliance. 6.Initiate, if requested, through third party vendors, corporate housing for temporary residents. Approve and code all corporate housing invoices for same. Maintain as a part of records to payroll for year end 1099 processing. 7.Obtain knowledge and act as back up for HR Generalist II – Expat 8.Assist with HR-HQS special projects. | ||
| Skills | EDUCATION: Preferred college degree in business/Human Resources field. Preferred SHRM Professional Certification (PHR). EXPERIENCE: 3 years of professional experience in human resources principles, practices, and procedures. SKILLS: Professional attitude promoting the core values of the Company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening and customer service. Highly effective presentation skills. Have a solid foundation in leadership and mentoring principals and practices. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office environment and HRIS programs. Strong knowledge of government regulations related to Human Resources issues, and Company policies and procedures. INGENUITY: Use of logical analysis. Must think through and solve problems step by step; looking beyond the obvious solution to a problem and digging deeper for the best solution. Strength in identifying and setting priorities. Ability to excel under demanding time constraints with the ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously. Ability to work with highly sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality. Job requires employee to communicate well with people at different job levels and frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding other points of view. Ability to actively listen and objectively interpret data and information required.
