| Description | A World Class Offshore Oil Service Contractor is on the lookout for a Cost Controller. Cost Controller reports to Site Project Control Manager. Main tasks: - Management, interpretation and presentation of project cost data. - Ensure quality monthly cost reports are produced for specific contracts. - Prepare monthly project cash flow forecast. - Contribute, where necessary, to monthly contract and accounts review meetings. - Manage the project requisition control process and engender good relationships with the required procurement department(s). - Ensure smooth running of project cost function, dealing with ad-hoc issues and escalating to the Project Controls Manager where necessary. - Utilisation of a systematic approach to control costs. - Check project estimates from a cost perspective to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Liaise with all cost counterparts in sub projects. - Input to project estimates at the compilation stage on an as-required basis. - Report performance of cost reporting function on monthly basis. - Prepare monthly invoices (if required). - Attend Monthly Cost Review Meetings and Monthly Contract Review Meetings, as directed by the Project Controls Manager. - Coach and train less experienced personnel within the cost team. - Interface with other functions to assist cost management process. - Maintain & engender good Contractor relationships at all times. - Provide auditable back-up in a consistent manner for all cost calculations (self audit methodology). - Maintain project cost control filing system in accordance with the project/corporate numbering system, where appropriate. - Participate in project specific cost control audits as required by management. | ||
| Skills | University degree in Engineering/Qualified Cost Controller. Over 8-10 years experience in construction of FPSO’s or relatively similar offshore oil and gas projects. Working knowledge of cost management, financial analysis, management information, performance management, and financial reporting and control. | ||
