BASIC FUNCTION: Assist the Sr. Project Manager in all respects including control of personnel, safety, budgets. engineering, procurement, construction, quality, commissioning and schedules. Responsible for assisting the Sr. Project Manager with administering the shipyard contract and liaising with internal operations management to ensure that the Client drilling contract requirements are being properly addressed during engineering, construction and commissioning. DUTIES: 1.Manage the project with respect to engineering, scope of Work, budget, schedule ,quality , safety, legal and personnel issues throughout all of the project phases and in accordance with the PECP (Project Execution & Controls Plan), company policies, standards and project objectives. 2.Assist as required in preparation & implement the PECP. 3.Prepare and submit Project PA and project plans for Sr. management approval. 4.Participate with shipyard and OFE vendors contract negotiations 5.Monitor and report progress of the project 6.Establish project team organization and skill sets 7.Review, administer, control, and authorize project budget expenditures as required 8.Recommend appraisals for project personnel 9.Develop standards and tools for use on the project. | ||
| Skills | EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or construction engineering. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years experience with major international projects. It is preferred to have experience in the design, engineering or Operation of various types of offshore drilling units. SKILLS: Good knowledge of project management techniques including planning, budget control and resource management. Good verbal and written communication skills. Familiar with drilling industry technique is preferable. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Job requires employee to work with others as a team. It is important to have good reporting, good problem solving and interpersonal skills.
