| Description | Duties: 1. To inspect, trouble-shoot, repair and overhaul all Plant electrical equipment as identified by the work order and preventative maintenance systems. 2. To perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner following company safety standards, job procedures and accepted industry practices. 3. To keep his supervisor informed of work progress and any problems or deficiencies which may be identified. 4. To maintain records by completing work orders, time sheets, requisitions, as-built drawings and preventative maintenance forms. 5. To submit written reports of equipment failures and/or maintenance activities as may be required by his supervisor. 6. To be familiar with and utilise spare parts inventory and requisition procedures. 7. To train and assist any apprentices and/or technical helpers which may be assigned to him. 8. To maintain a safe and clean working environment. 9. To maintain tools and test equipment in good working order. 10. To maintain good working relationships with staff from all other departments. 11. To operate in accordance with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Environment Policy. 12. To prevent pollution, report all environmental incidents, actively support the commitments of the Safety, Health and Environment Policy and facilitate compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and promote high standards of environmental awareness through-out the company. 13. To undertake work-related activities in accordance with roles and responsibilities as defined in the operational control procedures. | ||
| Skills | Journeyman Electrician qualification and/or technical diploma from a recognized technical institute. Minimum 5 years experience in Petro/Chemical industry. Must possess excellent skills in written and spoken English. Should be PC literate. | ||
